| Question: On different websites and publications I
have seen the reduction of distortion by a push-pull combination published
as both "even" and "odd".
I was also confused and got help on the bass list, a discussion group of speaker builders. Adding the word 'order' changes things. Simply stated: Even harmonics are uneven order harmonics. Confusing isn't it? The harmonic of the first order (the harmonic at twice the original frequency) is the second harmonic. Regretfully the push-pull doesn't reduce the nasty uneven harmonics ;-(. |
